your lodestone profile says WHM is your only lv.50 job, so you have zero experience as a melee or ranged DPS in Frontlines.I don't think anyone said they are balanced. Melee is incredibly favored in PvP. Melee players are just now realizing the importance of positioning, focusing, etc... That should speak volumes.
I sincerely hope those single melee keep running full steam into groups of 24 people trying to kill them. It's good entertainment. It reminds me of this level 15 Dragoon I watched attack a S-rank the other day in front of 2 full raids.
I played hundreds of FL matches as a healer, caster, and melee and I think all the jobs were very well balanced in the old Frontline (Secure). everything you say, all the "tips" you posted, don't make any sense (that's why I search for your character profile cuz it sounds like you never played these jobs in FL). you act like every melee players here are doing bad in Slaughter because they don't know how to play, but actually it's you who never played DPS.
I like PvP. I have PvP'd in MMOs for the last three years. In previous games I have PvP'd as melee, ranged, and a healer. I joined ffxiv in late November. I've fought in 144 FL campaigns so far. Last night my record in Slaughter was 7-2-1. (In only one of those matches did my team have more ranged DPS than melee).your lodestone profile says WHM is your only lv.50 job, so you have zero experience as a melee or ranged DPS in Frontlines.

Frontlines while fun and somewhat new to ffxiv is basically the same as every mmo objective-based pvp instance since WoW launched.
The tips I've posted are pretty basic pvp principles: work with your healers, focus target as a group, don't attack a group alone, and flank opposing teams to expose their backlines. Let me know which of these does not make any sense.
