    Slaughter is Great but. . .

    Frontline (Slaughter) is pretty damn fun but I'm a little bit disappointed at the amount of map space that got neglected. What do I mean?

    (Secure) makes sure most of the map gets touched by players at any point during a match.

    (Slaughter) makes use of the heliodrome for the majority of a match. The Allagan Markets, Temple and Mannor get some attention once during the entire battle.

    Slaughter mode has some really cool gimicks (battle high, adrenaline, objectives that provide buffs etc.) but it all becomes a big clusterfu*k in practice because not much is done to disperse the combatants. I think they need to add a lot more secondary objectives to encourage roaming and small skirmishes.

    Thoughts?

    Tanks and Healers get left out in the cold with slaughter.

    Also I agree with what you said, most of the map space goes unused. I think slaughter is a interesting change but ultimately from my experience so far, secure is better.

    72 people on the heliodrome is kind of ridiculous. There needs to be some sort of incentive to make us use the entire borderland ruins.

    Agreed, and it's mainly for these reasons why I think secure is the much better option.

    Sure, it's fun having your own special limit break to use when you need it, but the Heliodrome becomes, as you said, a clusterf*ck of people running around and spamming limit breaks in hoping they kill something. It's not really strategic in the way that secure is.

    In secure, you need to carefully plot and launch varied attacks on several flags; you need to apply and relieve pressure on key points in hopes you capture them long enough to win.
    This? This is just one mass group humping session in which people spam moves as frequently as possible in hopes that they finally hit something.

    It's not fun, Square. Especially when YOU DC EVERY TWO MATCHES.

    Not an incentive. They just need to remove the mobs. You spend the entire match trying to kill those damn things while aoe-ing enemies, and avoiding enemy aoes, especially if your a melee. Get rid of the npcs that shouldn't even be there, or make them a LOT weaker (i'm getting sick of bullet spongy mobs) give less points, and make the mode actually focused on PvP

    I like the big cf on heliodrome as a black mage for two reasons: easier to go unnoticed in the mob and lots of aoe targets clustered around monsters

    Say wut!? Tanks are more OP than ever before, a good WAR with that extra 40% dmg buff will melt anything and everything, and they are extremely tough to take down meaning they can hold on to that bonus dmg a heck of a lot longer than any dps could ever hope to. Healers though yeah, short end of the sh1t stick, but then again if people stopped abusing the class (stacking 4-5 SCHs....) SE wouldn't nerf hammer and leave them out.

    I think the outer nodes need to pop before the inner.
    Its really hard to get people to focus to run down to those.

    All 72 on the heliodrome is a bit of a clusterfuzzle and a targeting nightmare.
