    I just got the same issue.
    I started the launcher and then I get an "FFXIV Boot Error" which reads as follows:

    Unable to complete version check.
    [30605][10009][19900][12029]

    I tried:
    1) rebooting my system - did not help
    2) uninstalled and then reinstalled FFXIV from disk - same error

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    EDIT: I may have posted this in the wrong thread, as I read a possible fix in another post in the Technical Support forum.

    If your game is unable to load the launcher and you are getting an error message similar to the one I mentioned: Disable your Firewall and Anti-Virus program.

    I did that and now the launcher is downloading the patch. Now to find out if it'll crash upon start... *crosses fingers*
