Pretty much this. There's a good reason big floofy dresses in MMOs are rather rare, or look like they do in this game.
This is also why we'll never have Iceheart's hair.

This, I wish all races and genders could /cpose while riding, that way Midlanders and Elezen who hate riding side-saddle could ride sitting forwards, and other people wearing big frilly robes and dresses could ride side-saddle to avoid clipping.
