Midgardsormr is very confusing

for starters
he has this Schrödinger's dragon thing going on with him just being dormant instead of dead, but his body being unusable


after we fight
that weird echo like manifestation of
him, he simply
shoots us and drains our blessing of light, which I first interpreted as the Echo, but seeing that we could still understand Nabriales while the late Moenbryda couldn't, suggests that it was something else


He likely had two reasons for this. First
he wants to teach us to accomplish things without relying on Hydaelin. Cute little mentor
Second
and this is me just guessing, but he needs our power to get a new body. You know, how the sahagin priest resurrected himself via the echo. The small dragon is most likely a portable vessel to his essence untill he can find a suitable body to posess
.

Now that leaves us with a few small questions:
How can he do that? When will he give back our power? Is he related to Bahamut and/or the Au Ra? Who are "his people"? What song did they heare? Was he aware that the power he took away was the only thing keeping Nabriales out? What covenant was he referring to?


And this is only about the bloody dragon. Nabriales also raised his fair share of questions. Fore example
Why are some Ascians capable of posessing bodies and others can't? If Nabriales is just a bodiless ghost why isn't he a grim reaper like monster like the Ascians in 1.0? What is the plan of Elidibus if it requires Minfilia? How did he remove the Island of Baldesion and where did it go? Are all the Ascian overlords seriously working to outplan each other?
