    Job Change: FFT or FFX-2

    What style do you prefer?

Final Fantasy Tactics where you pick your job and gear prior to the fight and stay as that.

    or

Final Fantasy X-2 where you can change instantly during fights, but not able to customize.

IMO FFT serie had one of the best job systems from all FFs. Not only regarding customizations, branching and mechanics but also regarding the fun behind it...who never grinded a job there just to master them all or to unlock a certain advanced job he wanted? Also, its even better when you look to FFTA serie, where instead of buying the skills you had to "train" until you master the skill.

No wonder FFXIV otiginal system had so much similarities to FFT system...here it is/was pretty much an expanded version of FFT job system.

About FFX-2, i didn't play it much, but by the little i played i felt it was a version similar in many aspects to FFXIII's paradigm shift mechanics.

I actually wouldn't mind be limited to one job's abilities if you can quickly change during battle.
I guess the the only issue would be job switching constantly for optimum performance.

And as for staying as one job but still utilizing abilities from other jobs, I think it's a nice combo system that allows players to cover the job's weaknesses or enhance their strengths. The problem you may run into with this system are those who believe there are "perfect builds" and dismiss anyone and any combo who goes against their ideology.

I really didn't care for NIN or THF in XI, but I was forced to level them to 37 just so some of my other jobs could be considered for a party invite.

No kidding...i had all jobs r37 at FFXI...even the ones i hated the most...just because FFXI had a so terrible system that people just wouldn't invite you even if you had the right sj. While you would get invite as BRD even if you were lv75 without sj and naked, PLD, DRK, SMN, DRG...even BLMs...would never get invite unless you not only list at /seacom all your sj but also gear, food, etc.

really i hate it, players and unballance destroy the experience in the game, ffxi was monotone, if you are melee always need SJ nin

please in ffxiv forget Sj, is bad idea, job system ok, but not sj system is terrible idea
