Bard gear (no final coil)

Hi all, looking for some advice on brd gear. I can't do full bis as I don't do final coil, but I am a 4 star crafter and have most of the poetics gear for brd.

Can anyone advise what is the best in slot without including final coil gear? Will it be all poetics now it's upgradable to 130 or is some of the crafted stuff pentamelded still better?

I am currently working on relic also, going to do either 44crit/22acc/9det or 31crit/22acc/22det.

Bump, anyone? Since 2.5 is out now I'm not sure whether to mix it up with some of the new ct gear, stick with poetics or get melding.

As it stands, BiS Bard still requires some crafting; however, the new WoD raid drops a ilvl120 BRD chest piece that is VERY close to the BiS crafted piece. That piece is a great place to start if you dont want to deal with pentamelding......

Bard bis already only uses 3 dreadwyrm pieces so i just swapped out the wrists for heavily melded crafted wrists, pants for crafted pants, and dread bow for yoichi bow. You can do more aggressive melds than the ones mentioned here if you want. Since you're already not planning on doing FCoB you can probably do less accuracy and possibly use WoD top instead of kirimu since you wont need to cap accuracy for t13

BRD BiS only uses 3 pieces from Coil - Dreadwyrm Longbow, Dreadwyrm Pants, Dreadwyrm Bracelets.

Relic will eventually replace the Bow, for Pants I guess you have to make do with a pentalmelded crit pants, bracelet you can cheaply pentameld the Platimum one which makes it slightly better than the True Ice Bracelet if you want.

Thanks for this, and sorry I've been so slow to reply - I'd given up on this thread but then noticed some of you had taken the trouble to reply so sorry about that!

I more or less came to the same conclusion - so I've made and partially melded kirimu hat, body and trousers (will finish melding when I'm brave enough!) and made the novus bow with crit/det spec. Ive upgraded the poetics hands and feet so far, looking to do belt next. I've also just got my goldsmith supra so I'll get to work on the platinum accessories next, I have to admit melding them looks terrifying though!

Our group are now getting to the final stage of t9 so hopefully we can down it and I can get a shot at those final coil pieces, but for now it's good to know I'm on the right track
