Chocobo Feeing Issue: No Message After Feeding Chocobo

This started before 2.5 patch.

Upon feeding chocobo I get one message of "plumage in 6 hours." After first fruit I no longer get a message only "(chocobo) devours the (fruit.)"

Yesterday after 2.5 patch I was able to feed chocobo as usual, changing chocobo from Coral Pink to Blood red.

Today when I feed chocobo the problem once again is happening.

I believe it's a bug because when it happened the first time vs. yesterday after the patch, I used the same combination of fruit which means I'm not at a limit edge. Nor am I using random fruit, only red blue and less green, never more green, less blue or red to go back toward yellow.

The message pops randomly so not after each fruit at times takes up to 20 feedings to see it pop. I dunno if that is the issue you have.
And only the amount of procs of that message count for your recolouring.
