    Remove Coil lockout since there are no hunts lockout

    Main idea is in the title.

    I get that people say we need such hard lockout on final coil to avoid people being bored when they get all their gear in a couple of weeks. But that seems hardly relevant now that upgrade items are once again available to anyone that can faceroll their head on a KB for a couple of hours doing hunts, with no lockouts.

    While there are arguments to both sides regarding the availability of 130 gear through such an easy content, i think that everyone that is half honest would admit that it is insane that doing coil is currently rewarding LESS than doing hunts, and the weekly lockout just add insult to the injury. Most groups have half the gear that drop useless because of the randomness, and then share 1 to 4 upgrade items for the whole group, per week. That's half an upgrade item per person per week assuming you clear t13, and if you don't and are still working on it, then it is a pityful average of 1 upgrade item per month, while people doing hunt will be able to get one every couple of day at the very least.


    I really don't see the point in such harsh coil lockouts when everyone can gear up so much quicker by much easier means.

    Couldn't agree more. I thought back in 2.3 SE just made a mistake. I figured they didn't really think it through all the way. Now with 2.5 it's clear they fully intend these items to be easily obtainable. There is no reason groups running coil should fight over 1-4 per week when people can get that many in a day no problem.

    I really don't think people would really buy a run when the gear is going to be obsolete soon when the expansion hits and everyone will need lv60 gear.

    Really wonder why ppl are so surprised about that. I have played many mmo and same pattern usually follow after each patch. Same happen in 2.3 so ppl should expect that happen. Coil lockout will be removed once new harder content is here so you probably need wait 3.0(not sure since that is first expansion in the game so I can not follow previous patters) before it will get removed. Every week coil get easier and easier with more poetic items. Now once all poetic items are farmed ppl can get a chance upgrade their gear and make the coil even more easier if they have still not killed the content. After all if you have killed the content, you do not need gear anymore since there is not any harder content anymore.

    Totally agreeing there, please remove fcob restrictions.

    To be honest, I'm tired to see the common arguments like :
    - Clear sellers matter, take care! omg! everyone gonna sell and buyz! ohohoh! Or not? -.-
    - The "ohlolz coil is meant for rare™ stuffz lulz, it should stay as it is, trolololz"... No, it is just stuffs to make things easier in fcob and only in fcob.
    - But!!! Wait a second, if you do that, no one is going to run world of darkness!!!... Right, like everyone are able to get a static and raid, don't make me laugh.

    Coil is just like any other contents in the game, if they decide to add a way for people to actually farm without any kind of restrictions Ilv130 gears (Hunts), then there is no point to keep restriction on last top tier raid content.

    On a last note, most people only want to see bad sides and "possible" "problems" where there is no problems and meanwhile... People like me are still waiting for less restrictions in order to finally build strong raiding FC with more than 8 players in it. 1 year waiting, it start to be long.

    Coil gear may also be only level 130 but it generates a different level of respect. The coil lockout is good and its here to stay. Otherwise people would sell FcoB all day long and even coil gear would lose its value.

    Everyone who cant see this has either no clue or want to buy final coil clears for the gear...

    Maybe they could remove the lockout one turn at a time. So say, start with T10 in Feb, then after 3-4 weeks remove the lock for T11, and so on until the expansion is realeased!

    That would be a happy medium; raiders have something worth farming, yet there would still be locked turns to keep players coming back every week.

    Doubt we'll see any changes to the current system though.
