That wouldn't be a bother at all. Because yknow, it's a damn movement. And it would bring more choices to all players, as I'm sure some people would love to have manqo'te crouch, as it works with certain character personalities far better than a regular "sit down flat on the ground and stretch out" does. Warrior-types in particular come to mind when I think of how the manqo'te crouch would be good for other races.
Highlander men are getting bent out of shape over a movement. It's kind of ridiculous. Especially when you act so surprised that everyone was given the Hildibrand pose (which ends up meaning the Highlander pose, just with differences more akin to our beloved inspector). Hildibrand is one of the most iconic and beloved characters of FFXIV, and many people want to emulate him - which includes that iconic pose. A pose he made iconic by the good graces of happening to be a Highlander man. It was only a matter of time before they gave his iconic pose to everyone, so that we could all be like our favorite inspector extraordinaire.
I honestly do not see the problem with you losing a single unique movement. Highlander men still have EVERY OTHER EMOTE being unique to them (or as unique as some emotes can get, but you get my point). Losing one single emote is not going to hurt you people, especially when the /hildy emote has subtle difference to make it unique from regular Highlander /pose, in the first place.
Really at this point, I say SE should just give all emotes a /cpose option to make it be a different race's emote. Want to sit like an Elezen man on a female miqo'te? /sit >>> /cpose until you get to the male Elezen pose. I think doing that would open up a ton of extra customization for everyone by allowing us to pick our own preferred "style" based upon emotes we prefer from other races for our current race.
God knows I'd love some of the female Highlander emotes for my cats. Highlander women are adorably expressive.
Actually, I'm pretty sure most are just suggesting that if the developers are going to share one race's pose, then share all the poses from every race. OR, if they're determined to not do that, then give Highlanders a unique pose like everyone else has. That's not even touching on the fact that the new Hildibrand pose is pretty much useless to Highlanders (who already mostly had it), which essentially means everyone received an additional emote except for male Highlanders. That wouldn't be a bother at all. It seems like a pretty reasonable point, and for as much as you're complaining about people getting "bent out of shape" over a movement, I would question why you're getting bent out of shape over text in the form of a request on a forum thread. Unlike your initial comment suggested, nobody is asking to be a special snowflake, they're only asking for options and resources to be distributed equally amongst all race types.
It's really odd how the community seems to be keeping track of who got which new hairstyle last, but when we're talking about emotes it is (in your mind) suddenly a silly thing to stress about? We all only have only so many ways to express the differences in our characters, and you'll have to excuse people if they feel each and every option counts.

Asking for Highlanders to get a new emote just because your /pose (one emote out of MANY) is "no longer unique" even when /hildy already has differences within it to differentiate itself from even the default Highlander male /pose, IS kind of being a special snowflake and getting bent out of shape over nothing. If Highlanders lost every single unique animation they have thanks to the Hildibrand reward, then I would slightly understand (even if I'm, again, of the mind that all emote variations should be available to all races just for further customization), but that is not what happened. You didn't even lose your /pose, Hildibrand's pose is not only persistent, but the teeth shine is not something that Highlander men have. Subtle differences, yes, but differences still.
Demanding that the devs give a brand new emote to Highlanders just because you're all bent out of shape over people having an iconic pose from Hildibrand (who just happens to be a highlander), is ridiculous and childish.
Well to be fair we basically didn't get an emote, just our normal pose with a teeth sparkle. lol
If they had actual eyebrows this game would become too sexy for me to handle.
Highlanderss should get 'Hildy Think', job done.
If all races got the male Miqo'te /sit there'd be "qqqq" from the cat people as well.

I can't understand all the QQ over some animation. I would not even care if all races could do each others /pose. (Infact I would enjoy that more then how it is now.)
It's not like in real life different "races" have their own /pose that no one else can do.
Sure there are cultural dances and such, but anyone could imitate those with practice.
And remember: This is a game! So relax and try to have fun instead. If you can't just because of some animation being used by others, there are plenty of games where people can feel "special".

Absolutely, but clearly in FFXIV there are restrictions so you can't mix that view with this one and then blame people for feeling there was a change in dynamics. In eorzea races are bound by animations, Earth view is not incorporated.I can't understand all the QQ over some animation. I would not even care if all races could do each others /pose. If they change it, that would be ok imo - it would also give Highlanders excuse to stop shaving their eyebrows, per using an Earth view and not Eorzean. Also, we'd get half breeds, which would also be pretty cool. But thats not true right now, so please try to understand that "its just a movement like dances in the real world" is not exactly apply-able to the game, because the game is not following real world thoughts.
And again, please stop all this QQ comments. Is it honestly the truth that if someone has a complaint that they are crying or find what they dislike an end of the world disaster? It has been stated a few times that we, or most of us, do not view this as end of the world material - just a bit annoying. "QQ" and like comments are meant to be insulting.. Why - did the OP hurt anyone?
