200-300 ping not gamebreaking? You try dodge Titan's attack 7-10 seconds ahead of time behind despite moving right on time. You have to know the fight 100% and predict their attacks in order to dodge AOEs at 250+ ping. It's impossible to get through some content without being carried with that time delay. Raids are off limits for me unless I want to burden others.

Yes it's my choice to play on a NA server but 200-300 ping is not a valid connection speed to attempt some parts of the game.

Playing under limited restrictions does make you a better player once you have those limitations off if you can manage to progress.

And I can guarantee that it is in fact doable even when making first attempts, and not knowing the fight 100%. Titan is the one trial I've consistently had trouble with, but even then if I'm paying enough attention I can easily get through it without taking any damage except from the unavoidable AoEs, and without being "carried" by other players. It's doubly worth mentioning that I played a caster class full time prior to HW, and still frequently play as a SCH, so it's not a matter of just staying moving to avoid attacks. There are some attacks in the game that do have an incredibly small dodge window even without high ping, but most I have plenty of time to avoid after they land under me even with my ping. Particularly of note are the AoEs in A4 that spawn under players at random. You absolutely can dodge AoEs such as these without knowing the fight beforehand if you have high ping.....

EDIT: I'm well aware that I'm not going to be making any friends here, but I'm speaking my mind on the matter because as someone who has to play with worse conditions, I feel insulted when others say that they "can't" participate in certain content because of low lag.....

Let me just put it to you this way.

It took Blizzard 10 YEARS to put in Australian servers.

10. Freaking. YEARS.

I don't think SE is gonna do it.

As a side note, I get better latency to WoW's AU servers than I do to SE's NA servers.

And I'm in NA(California).

There you have it.
You made a choice to play in a server that has worse latency.
You can have a fully furnished house in Tonberry as well if that's what's stopping you from moving, but you won't have better latency if you don't move.

Try making an alt in Tonberry to check things out first if you're worried there isn't enough english speaking community there.
Even if SE makes an official OCE server I have doubts I'll move there either, the DF here kicks ass xD

Tonberry has the most ENG.

Masamune has a small amount of ENG, but much more than other JP servers.

I've heard Aegis has a good amount as well.

There are a good amount of English/NA players hidden within the JP servers, aside from the obvious ones already mentioned. I moved my main to Atomos for the FC I'm in right now, though they are currently closed due to an influx of people suddenly joining. I heard Ton is having issues being full more often now, thus the influx; although if enough people actually band together, they could easily start another FC on this or another server.

My initial reasoning for moving was like as 'hagare' mentioned, the DF was loads better than NA DF awhile back, although over time they seem to have evened out a little. It's actually made me react better in dungeons anyways since I have less time to dodge than I do on my NA alt.

depends on your schedule really.
Tonberry is almost always full though.
Good luck trying to get in.

though if you speak japanese, you can always go to other japan servers that has moderate to full pop.
