Oceanic server, based in Singapore or Sydney to accommodate SEA players as well (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, etc) might possibly work.

Luckily I haven't been kicked out of any group for farming (mostly because I burn the scripted boss rotations into my memory to make up for the latency), but I don't think US players or native Japanese players actually understand how bad our latency is when we say we're lagging (I assume most of them just roll their eyes and go yeah buddy, ahahaha, sure. them "lags" again right?) when, to dodge Titans bloody landslide, we have to move BEFORE HE ACTUALLY TURNS AROUND TO CAST IT ON US OR WERE NOT GOING TO GET OUT OF IT. If our character is in the path of landslides AOE when it shows up its already too late to get out. It is legitimately very very frustrating and makes for a very terrible gameplay experience.

I should probably move to Tonberry, but I already made good friends on this server. I will probably only be tempted to move if Oceanic servers come out.

They don't have to be Australian servers, they could be located in Singapore or some other SE Asian country. Oceania gets little recognition, we are either EU or NA. Japan is closest to Australia and SE Asia, why aren't we grouped with Japan?

0.82 mbps? In NZ the fastest I have ever seen it (living in town) was 0.27mbps.

In order to have they own servers there should be a big population which in this case doesnt seems to compare or even get close to the other Servers. EU consist of so many countries in Europe. North America is basically North, Central and South so it cover quite a lot of countries too. Japan covers most of Asia which include China that were added somewhere back around April-May, still Japan had always have one of the highest population in Final XI and XIV because the game was made in Japan and so many Japanese support this game.
