Maintenance Times?

Dear Devs,
Wondering? Why we would not have the server maintenance six hours ahead of the time chosen? Allowing the US prime-time window to remain open as well the UK; starting at 9pm PST ~ 9am PST & 5 GMT ~ 17 GMT. This time frame would have the least impact on players from both sides of the pond. Only a suggestion. Hope maintenance goes well and bug free.

That would put it 11 AM ~ 11 PM JST, screwing their Japanese fanbase instead. Honestly with such wildly varying times it would be very hard for SE to hit a sweet spot for all 3 regions.

They are but they can't give one part of the fan base the patch 12 hours before the other.

yes they can games do it all the time. I don't necessarily agree with the practice but but it is not unheard of.

They are, but they are updated simultaneously in both data centers so that one set of servers doesn't get the update before the other.

I guess it is all fair and well. Would be hard in that case to make a perfect time. Thank you I guess I just did not consider the upset which may be caused by one base having an update before/after another.

also going by your times would mean the day i have off i wouldn't be doing 2.5 until my normal day time :c, the us gets the short end of the stick for once :3 so please grin and bare it in 11 hours we can all play again

no Matter how you slice it, its going to affect someone, be that JP/NA/EU. be happy you are getting a patch with new content at all.

The prior part of your statement is true enough, but the latter seems very odd. I don't think MMOs fare very well if they never release patches with new content, particularly if they charge a monthly subscription fee. I think a subscription fee creates a reasonable expectation that there will be frequent content updates. If anything Square should be happy to have his continued patronage.
