Ya this is something that's been way overdue. Obviously if they allowed full party to queue, it would likely make low level stuff even harder to get into solo. So like what others have said, its likely best to limit it to one friend. It's either that or come up with some expensive/complex system that allows a dungeon to over fill in the event a newbie is attempting to queue. You could design something that would let a extra person join in if they met certain criteria. Like if its their first time or been waiting a hour. And it wouldn't really effect the balance of the dungeon. Sense most newbies barely know what they are doing. And sense the dungeons are level synced its not like the 4 experienced people are going to steam roll it. I know special considerations will need to be in place, to prevent immediate vote/kick. Overfilling dungeons with new people would probably fix a lot of the queuing problems. But would be hard to make it work. They'd likely have to come up with a way to scale mob HP based on the number of players. That would require overhauling all dungeons, so its likely not worth there time/money. Like I said complex, and likely would never happen.
I'm in the same boat with my significant other. It was a real pain with expert/high level when roulette was introduced. Me and the fiancé would always be doing dungeons together farming for gear. Then when roulette came out, that was the way to get things faster, so we were forced to do it separately. But then they heard the cries and made it so we could queue together. I was surprised it was possible to full party queue, but happy nonetheless. It would be nice if they could make all of the roulette's possible to queue together. Just limit it, especially in main story and trials. Me and my fiancé are a WAR and WHM respectfully so us going in to dungeons(see actually wanting to...) would certainly help out those DPS that are drooling on their keyboards waiting on low-lv, main scenario, and trials.
