Thanks for letting us know the request has at least reached the dev team's ears! The development team has been discussing introducing the ability for players to queue up for the low level duty roulette while in a party. These discussions are still in their early stages so we can’t provide any concrete details on timing or implementations; however, as soon as we know more we will let you know!
Then it's severely broken as is and not helping at all. I so rarely get a new player in my low level roulette. It's always 4/4 level 50 people running Thousand Maws. They did it as a way to make it so higher level players would do for the tome bonus or people leveling for exp bonus and at the same time help newbies through, but honestly I agree and I don't do them at all unless leveling something because the tome bonus is not worth tam tara everyday.
I duo everything so this would be a very welcome change! Only things I dont are 1-3 random roulettes a week, normally MSQ; on rare occassions I'll run a low level for the extra tomes if I"M REALLY CLOSE to another piece of gear for my alt jobs.
But really? All I want is to be able to use DF with my Choco out. Or my fiancee's and my choco out while we wait for queues.
"Welcome to the ranks of the blue mages. However, at this moment you are but an empty vessel--a base creature, weaker than the most ordinary mortal. A blue mage must wrest her strength and vitality from her enemies. Show me your hunger for unrivaled power! This is the only guidance I shall give you."
~ Final Fantasy XI Treasures of Aht Urhgan
Ya this is something that's been way overdue. Obviously if they allowed full party to queue, it would likely make low level stuff even harder to get into solo. So like what others have said, its likely best to limit it to one friend. It's either that or come up with some expensive/complex system that allows a dungeon to over fill in the event a newbie is attempting to queue. You could design something that would let a extra person join in if they met certain criteria. Like if its their first time or been waiting a hour. And it wouldn't really effect the balance of the dungeon. Sense most newbies barely know what they are doing. And sense the dungeons are level synced its not like the 4 experienced people are going to steam roll it. I know special considerations will need to be in place, to prevent immediate vote/kick. Overfilling dungeons with new people would probably fix a lot of the queuing problems. But would be hard to make it work. They'd likely have to come up with a way to scale mob HP based on the number of players. That would require overhauling all dungeons, so its likely not worth there time/money. Like I said complex, and likely would never happen.
I'm in the same boat with my significant other. It was a real pain with expert/high level when roulette was introduced. Me and the fiancé would always be doing dungeons together farming for gear. Then when roulette came out, that was the way to get things faster, so we were forced to do it separately. But then they heard the cries and made it so we could queue together. I was surprised it was possible to full party queue, but happy nonetheless. It would be nice if they could make all of the roulette's possible to queue together. Just limit it, especially in main story and trials. Me and my fiancé are a WAR and WHM respectfully so us going in to dungeons(see actually wanting to...) would certainly help out those DPS that are drooling on their keyboards waiting on low-lv, main scenario, and trials.

I think the ability to queue with a party of 2 or 3 players is all that it needs, because the system still can get one or two randoms that (maybe) are really on need.
Roulette bonus for a party of 4, I don't see anything useful, that bonus on low level is meant to let help solo queued players progression and shares nothing with expert or high level bonuses.
It's not for lack of trying that such a thing doesn't yet exist. The way the companion system is set up makes it incredibly difficult to allow this without causing problems - which I expect has been happening when anything is done to try to implement this change. This has been acknowledged by the development already, with reasons provided. It will come when it's possible to do this without issues. But spending time on it obviously cuts into planned development time, so it's simply a "wait and look out for more info" thing.I duo everything so this would be a very welcome change! Hopefully this will happen, as I would queue up again for low level with friends. The development team has been discussing introducing the ability for players to queue up for the low level duty roulette while in a party. While I understand the desire to to this with friends, if you are allowed to queue as a full party it completely ruins the entire purpose of the roulette. I say 2 player premade max for this. The development team has been discussing introducing the ability for players to queue up for the low level duty roulette while in a party. Even that is highly abusable. Party a level 50 with a level 15, queue for roulette, bing you got Satasha.
Maybe you should only be able to queue in a premade with people of equal level to yourself?
