Which FATES were reduced and how long is their timer now?
Despite whatever changes were made, FATE spawns do NOT feel any better at all. I waited two hours for "A Tale of Two-tails", and I've currently been waiting over an hour now for "Giant Steps" in Coerthas. Giant Steps is a book fate too so it should be one of the fates with a higher spawn rate. Whatever was done was definitely not good enough. I hate camping FATEs.Greetings,
A portion of the English patch notes pertaining to the adjustments of certain FATEs was not included when Patch 2.5 went live.
We apologize for leaving this out, and we will be adding this information in as soon as we can.Certain FATEs that occur with a high frequency have been adjusted to appear less often. Furthermore, the frequency at which FATEs related to the Trials of the Braves occur has been increased.

So much for those Animus book FATEs not being on a different timer from the rest so nothing could be done about their frequency, huh - something that we've been told at least twice. Nice. Thank you, but nice.

Where other games use events like this as an incidental way to engage with the game world, SE thinks it's a good idea to tie it into quest progression. MMOs thrive off time-wasters, sure, but nothing rubs that in like waiting 45 minutes for a FATE to spawn, unable to move or do anything in case it spawns and you miss it.
It was dumb the first time they pulled it, and it's still dumb now.
Call me crazy, but even though I haven't the time anymore to do so - I rather long for the days of camping a rare spawn for 10-15hrs straight (Everquest). Your reward was great. . . in the virtual world at least :PWhere other games use events like this as an incidental way to engage with the game world, SE thinks it's a good idea to tie it into quest progression. Variety in music for FATEs would be wonderful. And change the freaking music. After hearing the same one over and over after grinding atma its killing me.Some variety at least. Also it annoys me when someone runs an enemy out and they go invulnerable for what seems like forever. I HAVE HATE ON IT STOP RUNNING. Then again this is from doing atma 3 times in a row, so meh.

Oh lord, this update is actually worrisome. Looking at my above post, and the various FATE update's they've made it almost makes me think all they did was reverse what they had updated in the past. They adjusted it so fates would pop more often, now they are changing it back. If that is all they did, it won't fix anything. Simply because originally fates were already popping less frequently, and it made little difference. I could just be experiencing PTSD from all the previous patches that didn't really do anything they were intended to do. Guess we'll find out sooner or later. Anyone check SEPS, or that allagator one out waaay west dragonhead? Those always take like 2 hrs it seems.
But what about FATES for the daily Hunt Bills? I've had the same face-desking experience waiting for those as I had waiting for book FATES. The hunt-bill FATES are not even worth the time investment, you'd get more allied seals by spending that time hunting for A ranks then waiting 1, 2, or even 3 hours for the hunt FATE to spawn.

It'd be better if they just put them in a 1hr timer
