    FATEs - changes are way overdue

    FATEs are one of the best examples of great game design gone horribly wrong. The concept is great and provides a good way to get early XP, earn GC seals and provide objectives for various quests.

    However, when you're waiting for hours for a required FATE to pop, the obvious thing that's missing is - fun. While changes to things like Atma drop rates have been made to improve QoL, frustratingly long FATE timers are still the biggest PITA for things such as Animus upgrade.

    Changes to spawn timers are way overdue. Respawn timers should be changed to 30 minutes MAX on any FATE associated with a quest objective.

    One of the animus fates in the east shroud would torment you with the fact that they actually bothered to do this with beast tribe fates, killed several Kafres waiting for that mushroom fate to pop.
    I wouldn't repeat a zodiac but I'd be for cutting down useless waits.

    The only change I can remember them doing is changing the waiting time on FATEs related to Beastmen dallies. Those spawn like nobody's business.

    Most complaining are about the FATEs required of the animus book which can potentially take 2+hours to spawn even when FATEs are being whittled down in the zone.

    The Animus Fates are tied together to some degree. I camped "Taken" in South Than then Ported over to CC Highlands and "Tower of Power" Popped Moments later (5 mins I believe). I have done this with at least 4 of my books and it worked. However camping FATEs like "Surprise" (Upper La) and "Everything is Better" (East Shroud) is still required because the Mobs kill the NPCs or like "Everything is Better" can be soloed in 1 min and it's a far FATE to get to from the Crystal.

    Animus FATES need to be more frequent and or reworked.

    On a second Note the Animus part needs to be reworked all together I don't mind the 100 enemies or the 3 leve's

    My Fate complaints are mentioned above, but id personally like to see queing for specific dungeons changed to Dungeon and Duty roulette's.

    Personally id prefer to do 3 Hard Primals instead of Fates or Dungeons.

    Same here - I'd rather spam primals/trials or roulette (adds extra surprise and extra tomes, I guess)

    Yesss.

    This was my biggest turn off to the atma books. I can spam dungeons. I do it anyway. I can slap some monster around, sure. Kinda easy, even when you're camping the same monsters as someone else (could just party up with them and knock it out for both without worrying about who gets the cred).

    But the fates wait time.... besides the redundancy of the books themselves (I hate repeating myself numerous times), this is a good portion of the reason why I stopped doing the books - and now just use the yagrush.

    Edit> It's not so much doing fates, but rather like the OP said - the wait time for their spawn

    I see more Solidary, Shiva Ex and a sprinkle of Coil Weapons now more then ever. This trend will continue due to the enormous amount of time and RNG required. Alexandrite and Light Farming is really boring and long.

    And Now there expensive like really expensive. 400,000 Gil 6400 Sol 40,000 GC Seals. And Require high lv Desynthing and Crafting which will cost more Gil if you don't DIY.

    I'm starting to think that these weapons aren't for the casuals, but moreso for the masochists... =p
    I'm considered a casual, I guess? Or midway? ionno o_O (Raids <3, SCoB </3), but I'd rather throw myself into the pits of the EXs to farm the pieces for the Shiva weapons. At least I feel challenged, even if I'm not particularly ohemgeegood at those kinds of fights (IE, I'd rather fling myself at it until I know it). It's just a matter of working up the nerve, knowing I'd be going in with people who probably will be jerks about everything/anything. But I guess I'll take that over a seemingly infinite and expensive loop. >_>

    Which... I should probably take this relization as a kick in the ass to start doing the rest of the EX primals z_z
