FF12 online A Game Remade

Purpose of this thread is for ppl to guess how long it'll take Yiazmat or dragon with same design but with crappy name remake(i'm looking at you Fafnir....) to appear in Heavensward. My bet is 3.4 :P

I bet 29/13 gysahl greens that nobody cares if they do use designs of past Final Fantasy games. If anything, it would just make people all the more excited.

I dislike them using non-memorable assests like 90% of FF12s model rips currently in the game (same goes for FF13). Certain enemies like, Tonberry's and Malboro's already have a strong image attached to them and it'd likely see counter reaction to changed appearances (FF12 and 13s Behemoths had a negative fan response).
I would dislike them reusing Yiazmat because I'm sure they have more creative power to design awesome looking creatures lol

except thing is he doesn't "have it" since point of this thread was for ppl to guesstimate on when he'd come out(cuz srsly it's rather obv he's gonna come in heavensward in one way or another)

Another re coloured aitar from brayflox last boss. Used it in savara fate, CT, ST, probably in WoD, t13, hunts, probs some more but i forgot.

If they brought yiaz to ff14 i'd cry cuz they would make him a faceroll easy instance which would devalue his image.

reusing old things is great, but it stunts creativity, imho. it should be done with caution, and only as a last resort, or when it just completely fits for the situation.

things people are requesting in number are one thing, doing it for SnGs because "didn't feel like making something for this" is another.

luckily, most of the time they're done properly. i can't think of many times, if any, that i've thought "i really wish they'd stop using old models" admittedly, i miss antlions from 11, and i'd like to see those again given the upcoming implementation of wivres. but until there comes a situation where they fit, i expect nothing.

reskinning, however, is terrible, and something i hope doesn't ever become a regular thing.

I think they strike a good balance of nostalgia and new.
They update like whoa so im happy with that.

Reusing old enemies and having recolors is just a FF staple. They've been doing it forever and they'll continue to do it in the future.
