Hello and greetings my radioactive space monkeys. This here thread is for discussing the Gold Saucer - the games, and what you'd like added. Remember, we know nothing about how these games would work, but that's part of the fun in speculating. First off:

WHAT WE KNOW:

There were several mini-games shown in the trailer - basketball, some strength test, a slot machine that you shoot (maybe just hit) to stop the reels, and of course, Tetra Master.

Basketball
I wonder if there are gauges like, Angle and Power. Dunno how it could work. Maybe we get one of those ground targeting things like BRD and ACN get for casting spells on the ground, and we have to aim the ball ourselves.

Strength Test
Same as Basketball. I wonder if our stats will have anything to do with this. Will having a higher STR stat increase our score? What about jobs that don't use STR? Are they SoL?

Slots

From the trailer, it looks like 4 reel slots, but also, there's a player on each reel. Multiplayer slots? The trailer also shows archers readying their bow. Maybe each job gets a game - the STR users get that strength game, and DEX jobs get slots. Maybe the casters, for their INT game gets like, some trivia challenge or something.

Triple Triad
Prolly what everyone is looking forward to most. Happily it looks like we can play anywhere as the player is seen challenging Rowena. Wonder if it it will have FFVIII style rules. And maybe you can select your favorite ruleset. When you and others that chose your rule set play cards against NPCS (and players) you get to change the rules for that region, almost like conquest from 11.

Currency
Maybe there will be a unique currency used only in the Saucer for goodies. When you play mini-games, your score will determine how many...I dunno GP you get. What can we buy with GP? Minions? Glamour items? Titles? Crafting mats?

Entry
I wonder how we can enter. Is it gonna be like, 1,000 gil for a ticket and 100,000 for a lifetime pass? I hope it's not like 1 mil for a single pass and 5 mil for a lifetime pass *shudders*

What would you like to see?
Lastly, are there any mini-games you hope to see? I see lots of interest in Blitzball. That would be cool.

I hope there's a smaller version of the tuxedo cactuar as a minion you can buy with whatever point things will inevitably be used in there.

How about a giant puyo puyo board, using neon flans?

XIII-2's Chronobind minigame was pretty fun, would be cool if they included that.

I am greatly looking forward to Triple Triad and Chocobo racing~!
There should not be a latency advantage for Chocobo racing right? ... I fear it a little.

And I wonder about those UFO catchers/skill tester machines... maybe the prize is like a Gatcha?

triple triad = im chomping at the bit for that release....

i wanna know how it will work tho n the mechanics with dueling players/triple triad tournaments will it be like ff8 triple triad/? lose a game vs player = lose ur best card??

will every main npc/monster/dungeon boss/ primal drop thier cards??
will there be pack spam like yugioh in the hopes of gettin some godly op card to wipe the floor with every1?? lol
