Reefer Chiefers LS

After months of slowly increasing our numbers, and then weeks teetering on the edge of the linkshell cap, Pass The Bong is now 100% full. Since FFXIV does not have any kind of administrative functions for LS leaders (i.e., removing members who are not logged in) PTB is currently unable to accept more members.

This is sort of bittersweet... On one hand, I'm really happy that so many chill and affable people wanted to be a part of Pass The Bong. On the other hand, it's really unfortunate because I do not want to turn away potential friends looking to join us.


Professor Oak, Josh, and I currently have a temporary plan in place to address this.

We have decided not to destroy and reroll PTB because the individuals who are currently inactive but planning to return are important to us.


Professor Oak has revived Reefer Chiefers, the LS he originally merged into Pass The Bong. RC will be a sort of temporary PTB II for our overflow members. This is just until we are given administrative functions to remove players who have been completely inactive since joining. Like, the members who were invited one day and never showed up again.

This is all really just the consequence of a poor design choice by the producers and developers of FFXIV, but we'll deal with it in this way until either the LS cap is lifted, or administrative features are patched in. Our sources tell us that linkshell features will be addressed very soon, perhaps even as soon as patch 1.21a. We will try as much as possible to stay abreast of any news regarding this issue.


In the meantime, if there are any Pass The Bong members who would like to join RC to communicate with the overflow members, we'll get you a pearl. If there is anyone looking to join Pass The Bong, for now we can offer you a pearl for Reefer Chiefers.
