First of all, I'm talking about NOT dungeons, NOT raids. I'm talking about out there in the world. Second, I'm talking about a significant combat benefit in special circumstances for these classes, but still insignificant compared with DOW and DOM classes or jobs.
Here's the idea:
You have a bundle of Classes with specialized materials they need on a regular basis. For the enemies that drop those materials, crafter/gatherers might get a bonus, such as their combat weapon having double attack power vs. that creature. Most of these classes already have very practical weapons, a few do not, and I would propose they have some optional "hunter-gatherer" class weapons in their stead.
Viable Weapons: Sledge Hammer, Pick Axe, Hatchet, Scythe, Head Knife, Culinary Knife, Crowsbeak Hammer, Raising Hammer, Chaser Hammer, and Claw Hammer
Less Viable/Not Viable: Clotho, Fishing Pole, Most of the Offhands
Suggestions: A Fisher's Harpoon, A Garrot/Thread Attack for Weaver
