    Target Filters

    Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone could help me out or maybe give me some ideas

So when playing i hold right mouse button all the time to move my camera and character, however ffxiv has it so that when you click the right mouse button it interacts with things and strangely enough i don't find it insanely helpful when i'm trying to move and dodge abilities.
instead i examine the dps or bring up my key items window.

so my question is, is there a way to stop this happening? i had the idea of toggling target filters, like if i hold X then it stops me targeting everyone but i can't play by holding X for entire dungeons lol

    Any ideas?

    Many Thanks everyone!

just a side thought too, anyone know of a way i could just toggle the target filters (X keybind by default) to be always on?

    I hate when that happens
In titan ex, getting ready for WotL
Right click to be able to strafe with "a" or "d"
    accidentally click something
Start spinning on the spot when you press "a" or "d"
    Die from WotL
    /p *Lame excuse*

Use Q and E instead of right clicking. It might be less of a headache.

yeah it's just a habit of a life time to get out of, i feel i have so much more control when just using the mouse, but i guess there is no way around it for now, so i'll just deal, thanks all though for your replies

I hold down the LEFT mouse button to move the camera (I'm tank so I need to keep an eye on the battlefield at all times). When I need to move quickly I just hold down the right mouse button in addition to the left button, and I'll be moving in the direction my camera is looking at. Very convenient, and I don't believe I experience the problem described in the op.

As for Q and E...I rebind A to Shift-A, S to Shift-S, then Q to A and E to S. So my default left-right movement is strafing already.
