In the Welcome to the "In-Game Bugs" Forum! (READ THIS FIRST) thread, something disturbing really caught my eye.

Posts requesting for the progress or status on the investigation of a reported issue

...are considered to be improper and will be subject to deletion.

We aren't allowed to question your investigation? Really? I can't post asking for a followup in the thread I created stating my bug? I see numerous complaints about issues not getting addressed. This is wrong. I want to be able to make sure my issue is being resolved, I bought a product and I have the right to question the actions of this company.

And if my issue doesn't get resolved and I receive no feedback about my report, all I can do is make another bug report. But wait...

If a duplicate report has been confirmed, it will be moved to Duplicate Bugs.

The way SE treats its customers is horrendous. A change of policy is needed. What is needed is a personal response to valid bugs, each and every time.

If its a duplicate bug that means others have reported it before in sufficient detail. Reporting it again adds unnecessary work if they are forced to address every complaint individually. When they deem it appropriate to discuss, it will be discussed. Many factors you are likely unaware of must be considered before said responses are allowed to go public, if ever, such as security, timing, or factors like intellectual property or public relations, and many other factors.

Their policy is not only perfectly ethical... it is also very common in the industry.

@Duuude007 Don't defend them. They are more than perfectly happy to ignore a bug and call it a technical issue. We pay them money, they can hire a bigger support staff and address each issue personally like us customers wish for. Reporting again IS the only way to get their attention, have you seen the long list of "being addressed". Players deserve the right to know when their issues are being worked on. Take any other service industry business, you expect your ISP to tell you the progress of repairs, you expect your electrical company to followup with you and report on the status of repair. Your mechanic is expected to keep you up to date on the status of your vehicle. The babysitter is required to tell you how your children are doing. The pizza delivery company is more than happy to tell you the estimated time for dinner. Almost every service industry business has some sort of customer oversight, so yes, this is unethical behavior. Don't stand against customers, don't side SE with on this.

They can admit that they are aware of the issue and it will be addressed. They are not however obligated by any means to provide a minute-by-minute progress report of which you seem to be demanding. Get over yourself, all you seem to be doing is ranting for the sake of ranting, it is helping nobody, especially yourself.
