big ass companies are run by PEOPLE too...i mean i ve been in graphic design business for over 10 years now and i can recall getting jobs or collabs with very simmilar ways.
He has faith in what he does and he gives it a shot. Does it hurt you gut to wish a man "good luck" without trying to prove him wrong?

But he is not looking for a job. He wants to create content that is faithful to the work as possible, and is vague about the two things he needs. It could be a way to weasel around the TOS for all they know. Will the user describe it as canon work? Will he sell it? Will it meet whever standards of approval dictated by the company?
