Just like Beethoven.
1. whats to stop other people from doing this to get spoilers and then releasing them on news sites early. I'm assuming if you really wanted this to work you'd have to sign a non-disclosure contract in person at one of their main offices
2. Whats to stop anyone from making a fake DA account to contact you? Maybe its best to ask them to contact you via your official square account thing. That way only employees will have the email and you can know that no one is pretending to be SE to mess with you
Mew!
Square Enix is not some mom and pop company, They have their own Marketing division that makes TV ads. If SE was interested in this, they would post for it, like what they did when looking for talent in XI.
If this isn't a job request, then its trying to make fanwork official, a big nono by most companies. Most Doujin circles would be very hard pressed to pull this off, and must already have a successful product to the fans that would be more trouble than its worth to squash.
you people are so freakin negative and i cant really think of a reason.
big ass companies are run by PEOPLE too...i mean i ve been in graphic design business for over 10 years now and i can recall getting jobs or collabs with very simmilar ways.
He has faith in what he does and he gives it a shot. Does it hurt you gut to wish a man "good luck" without trying to prove him wrong?
Wtf is wrong with you people.
In closing mate u have a very very good hand u seem talented and inspired .
I wish you the best of luck with this project and any other u might attempt in the future.
And dont listen to forum trolls![]()
I don't understand the point to be honest. You created "content" for the game and want SE to use it so you want them to create lore to fit your content?
Sorry but that sounds riddiculous to post that on forums, deaf or not. Even more saying that you plan on releasing the content after 1.20... like you have access to FFXIV patch system and will update the game? And that sounds like "hmm I don't have faith in your planned content so I made some up for you to use".
Also, I would rather that they keep their staff working on their projects than waste time on fanwork, no offense.
I don't mean to be rude or anything, I just don't understand your intent behind all this.
But he is not looking for a job. He wants to create content that is faithful to the work as possible, and is vague about the two things he needs. It could be a way to weasel around the TOS for all they know. Will the user describe it as canon work? Will he sell it? Will it meet whever standards of approval dictated by the company?you people are so freakin negative and i cant really think of a reason.

Sorry to say it Ren, but this.Square Enix is not some mom and pop company, They have their own Marketing division that makes TV ads. If SE was interested in this, they would post for it, like what they did when looking for talent in XI.

There are copyright and ownership matters at stake, the laws for which are different in every single country around the world, meaning if SE wanted anything like this, they would probably seek out a professional living in their own region from whom they could pruchase ownership rights of material produced - something that becomes very complicated if dealing with yourself in your current circumstances.
I'd also personally prefer it if you kept your fan-made stuff fan-made. It stands to keep its character better that way.
