Novus Melding Quick Question

I'm finally getting near to getting my Relic to Novus stage (have like 34 alex), and I'm infusing as I go when materia prices are low on the MB.

My question: If I am going to split Det/Crit/Acc on my Bravura, am I going to need any rank IV Materia at all? Meaning, can I reasonably fill out the entire 75 alex with just rank 1, 2 and 3 materia of the 3 types?

I believe if you have 3 stats on there you won't have to deal with tier IV melds. I'm not positive since I went Sp.S/Det. And those IV Dets took all my savings

You may have to meld one, but really not sure. Hopefully someone who went the 3 stat way can answer your question better.

You can meld up to 23 Det and 33 Crit without touching grade IV materia, which leaves 19 to put into accuracy.

They did a pretty good job at pulling the stats out so they could go with some recommended infusions.

That theory craft was done in order to know exactly how many bonus stat you could squeeze out from the Relic upgrades (Nexus and Zodiac) and at which breakpoints.

With that being said, I don't think a single point of det or crit are worth buying any Tier IV materia unless you're rolling around in Gil like Scrooge McDuck. The amount of extra damage it brings is barely noticeable, especially on a tank class.
