Obscure references

So just sitting here wait for the elusive Chupacabra, and I notice a nearby FATE titled "Sister Crustacean". So I started wondering how many of these references go right by people? Being an old timer I got this one. I have noticed many, and I am sure some of them go over my head. I guess any current game that can get a Night Ranger reference into it is ok in my book.

I grinned when I saw the Lost City of Amdapor's unlock quest name "One Night in Amdapor", as it references one of my favorite songs.

there are some absurdly obscure references as well.. i vaguely remember one of them dating back to 1974 or something, referencing a very old, widely unheard of band of musicians.

can't remember the specifics anymore, but i remember being flabbergasted that they go that far.

mayhaps a compilation is in order...wouldn't mind studying up on some of the references.

My favorite is roc of ages fate - 80's rock band def leppard. I like the heroes in a half shell guild heist also (obviously ninja turtles)

Breaking Bud FATE makes me smile. Not going to lie, I tend to scratch my head at some of the names and wonder "I bet that is a reference to something" given the strange choice of words some of the quests/FATEs etc use. Even after that, thanks to the lore panel at fan fest I can't help but look at names of places without wondering what backstory Koji has for naming it such.

I'll be honest. Seeing all these corny pop culture references, still weird for a Final Fantasy game.
But I've always been kind of a stick in the mud when it comes to that sort of thing.
