I'm hoping with the raised desynth cap it means we will be seeing some new items being obtained via desynthesis. Otherwise it will be somewhat pointless to rush to 110.

I speculate that the new body piece is going to be an item from Talan, similar to the Artisan Specs. It may be that the new "bauble" will be a 4-star item. The NQs are for the new tool The HQs for the body piece.
I also think they are sneaking in i110 jewelry, but aren't spilling those beans yet to avoid a pre-patch materia rush.
I like the added desynth points. means we can finally have 3 at max and not worry about losing points in others. hopefully st gear is not desynthable as its already a pretty bad greed fest.
those probable new gatherer tools are gonna be relatively easy to get if your already max geared. but getting hq might take food if you didn't upgrade your gear to the newer artisan and max meld it. so I will probs have to meld it now since before i didnt need the points from the melds to gather anything. just incase I needed very certain melds.
as for crafters god forbid another supra grind but chances are that's exactly what we are getting. and if its something that's needed from beast tribe ie ixal then S.E should think again and put it in all beast tribes so we can actually do others should we wish too.
materia prices who cares.. that stuff is a yoyo anyways. and already priced beyond a lot of people. but if we do see new crafter gear that we craft then its gonna need melds so good luck to all the aspiring crafters out there who need the materia if that happens...
a note on ixal quest get them done the day before but don't turn them in as you'll get the bonus rewards for waiting and the next days will still be available. double bonus day 1 that way.

FYI ST gear is neither desynthable nor convertible, so you can only wear it or glamour it. It really burns my butt when people take the belts. I'm past that hump but it's like 'WHY?' Idjits. (and no I doubt it will become desynthable when the patch comes out because it is so readily available and ST runs actually take less time than CT1 now with the huge influx of newbies [on my server at least]) 4 gear drops+2 oils+2 sands for item upgrades that are all free-roll? I don't think that will happen. But I've been wrong before...![]()
I did not say st gear was desynthable I said I hope it doesn't become so in patch,. which was in response to a post afew before me by sumimi,
so basically you took what I said out of context, partly my fault for not quoting admittedly, but still, st seriously you think I didn't know that info by now.??
that being said I agree with you about people greeding st gear when they don't need it is annoying. personally I only see st gear as glam now as getting 110 gear from weathered and sands is so easy now.

strange awareness of ghosts that no longer haunt this shell.
Then what do you want to be desynthesizable to reach rank110? I find it hard to believe that we will be stuck with ilvl90 gear, what's the point of raising the cap?
Do you want to stick with Krimu/Arachne/Wootz? Unless they increase the drop, I will not accept that (My suggestion would be every player would get guaranteed drop just like ShivaEX).
I don't like scob to be desynthesizable, because at this point, unless you're in a group that's already in fcob, scob is not farmable.
well 70% chance is pretty low for i90 so this will allow us to get higher % which means more mats available which means cheaper priced gear for the masses to use. and plus i90 can easily get us to 110 desynth skill, it will just take awhile. Then what do you want to be desynthesizable to reach rank110? plus im not saying st wont become desynthable im just saying its not a fair idea when you compare the under-geared players trying to get gear when the i90 is much harder to get than the i100 gear from st.
even if scob gear becomes desynthable that would probs mean that weathered / unweathered gear will be as well. both farmable easy enough. SE have options if they are deciding to make more gear desynthable.
I just think st should be left alone so its not more of a greedy mans dungeon.. you know cut the low geared players a break for once
(which by the way does not include me incase you were thinking it)

No one has mentioned the Master Crafting Tomes, I hope these allow you to get access to the artisan gear, As a casual player I dont have lots of gil enough to meld and get by but not enough to buy up all the gear needed. I wonder what the requirements for the Lucis tools are, as I am still working towards Supra (Only just started as previous focus was gearing SMN and Gathering Jobs)

A tome is a book, so this is probably talking about master crafting books.
Been planning on this, especially since I only have about 2 hours from the time I get home til server down time day before.
If SCoB gear was dsynthesizable then that would mean the max % we could reach is 50%....that's just disgusting and a huge time sink fishing out successful desynthesis attempts.
