Crafting tomes

Upon completing the quest "Just Tooling Around," players can inquire about master crafting tomes and tools by speaking with Guiding Star in Mor Dhona at Revenant’s Toll (X:22 Y:6).

Does this mean we are getting a tomes system for new crafting gear?

I'm fairly certain that is an old quest and they are referring to the books you can buy to learn new recipes.

Yeah it is a old quest but this statement is also in the patch notes "Players can acquire master recipe books from the NPC Talan in Mor Dhona at Revenant's Toll (X:22 Y:6) after completing the quest "Just Tooling Around."
* In the event you have already acquired a master recipe book, your crafting log will be updated with the new recipes automatically. The wording of crafting tomes and master recipe books are different in each why not the same? Just looks weird to me i guess

Considering all the typos and plain wrong translation in some parts of the notes, there's a fairly big chance that the use of the word tome is a typo as well.

Yah, such is the result of localization. :P "Tome" can refer to a Book, but some people also think it might be referring to a "Tomestone" (currency to grind).

There do appear to be new crafting tools based on the new achievement "Tool Time for the Hand" you get from "Obtain a Disciple of the Hand Lucis tool".
And, also, "New items have been added [to Talan], including gear for crafters and gatherers."

I'm guessing the changes to Guiding Star are more to explain all the stuff Talan offers now.

Hey I wouldn't mind a tome for crafters. Not saying slit wrist make it suck tome. Just something we can get accumulated and buy some unique non tradable crafting gear. I don't have all my tier 4 crafting books yet and the one I do have was hard for me to get. Maybe a way for me to get some of the new crafting gear besides buying it from other crafters would be nice.
