    Chocobo Color

So it's time for old Stubs to get some color. Yes, I've done some preliminary research. No, I don’t have time to thoroughly read two 20 page threads about this. So please help me out here chocobo coloring experts.

This is how I expect this to work:

    1. Use ffxivchocobo website to calculate the number of fruits needed.
For Hunter Green it’s telling me:
    15 × Apples, 22 × Pears, 29 × Berries
    2. Go to Stubs’ stable and warn him he is going to feel a little funny and grow feathers in strange places.

    3. Feed apples until I receive feather proc. The one feather proc counts as one of the 15 x Apples.

    4. Feed pears until I receive feather proc. The one feather proc counts as one of the 22 x Pears.
Read that you should alternate fruits to avoid maxing out RGB values.
    5. Feed Berries until I receive feather proc. The one feather proc counts as one of the 29 x Berries.

    6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 until I have receive the estimated number of feather procs.

    7. Wait 6 hours while Stubs digests.

    8. Evaluate color and see if RNG screwed me over.

    9. Use chocobo coloring map linked below. Feed single fruits for possible adjustments based on the map.

    10. Wait 6 hours while Stubs digests.

    11. Ride in style.

Is this correct? Did I miss anything? Any other thoughts?

Assuming your starting color is Desert Yellow, then yeah something like that. Going for Morbol Green myself, though ended up with Othard Blue, following that nonsense. So I'll try it again. Though my starting color wasn't Desert Yellow.

you can on the FFXIVchocobo website set a different Current Colour so you dont have to start from Desert Yellow if you already got another colour, and it will calculate from that point instead.
If I ever will play around with colour again I will try that myself. But for now I am happy with the one I got.

Yeah thats what I did, but it still didn't work on the first try, take 2 soon, once my pears are ready for harvest.

Yeah, like they say it's no exact science and that soem RNG might be involved.
But hey, what fun would life be if everything was mapped out? -hehe- ^-^'

Actually now that I remember, this will be take 3, the first time didn't even change color, fed one more pear than it said, and then it changed. But yeah not an exact science.

I believe feeding the chocobo a "Han Lemon" will immediately restore it to Desert Yellow.

Take number 3 failed, ended up with Royal Blue following these calculators. On to number 4.

If you do not receive "new feathers" message, the colour will not change.

I got that message 3 times, as I was feeding about 10 fruits, 3 different kinds alternating them. I didn't realize it had to be on the last one fed, or is it?
