    Desynthsis: will this ever be fixed (devs)

    Not doubt be raised before but has there been any statement relating to deleveling issue?
    im currently 90.44 gsm 72.34 bsm 5 weaver, its extremely frustrating having to cycle between each class in order to level a desynth without deleveling another
    it just makes no sense at all that we need to do this, desynth is the most expensive craft to cap yet this issue is still on going

    If you weren't aware, if you successfully desynth for a class, that class will not delevel for the next 3 successful desynths, no matter what.

    So, if you succeed a GSM desynth, then do 3 successful BSM desynths, you won't get any delevel from GSM. I guess ideally you would cap 1 desynth to 100, then while working on your second one, do 1 GSM, 3 BSM (successful ones, breaks don't matter), repeat. Leveling your third desynth skill would be really annoying, of course.

    I think the more annoying thing is that you don't have enough possible points to get 100 desynth in 3 different skills. It's like, what, 100, 100, then 96-97 or something? Gee... thanks.

    Anyway, I doubt they will ever "fix" this issue, since it's exactly how they designed it to work. And honestly, the delevel is like 0.01, and only happens sometimes. Not that it's not annoying, but it's not exactly game breaking.

    Where's our Desynthesis Lock UI / Menu?

    Great thread. I was thinking about this recently as well. Here's the old quote from the Devs:

    Just wondering if there's been any update on this Desynthesis Lock feature? Can we expect it soon?

    I know there's a workaround, but this is just a nice feature to have from a general quality of life point of view. And it makes the whole Desynthesis system feel more user-friendly.

    @ hiruke - yeah im aware of the work around, the main issue is the only stackable item that exists are the zodiac items which were recently added.
    Now apart from these if you plan on levelling you will need to carry a ton of additional items in order to maintain levels, my inventory and retainers are already full to capacity due to crafting aswell not to mention the shear volume of mats i obtain by desynthing mb stuff that's cost efficient
    0.01 doesn't sound alot but when it just cost me 100k to gain a 0.04 thats like robbing me of 25k... gimme my 0.01 back

    @ Kiara - thanks for that good to know in the future we will get it, crafting has had some major buffs done i.e the lowering of requirements for artisan tools and head piece yet us desynthers are still getting screwed

    I have like 50 million NQ calibrated rose gold cogs to keep mine stable. Of course, if you've already gotten your master II...though they're not all that expensive to make. They're stackable, I assume the same for other DoH too.

    Isnt this were the Alchemist books come in? that Reset a Desynth skill to 1 . You can have a maximum of 300 points . Aslong as that isnt reached there should be no decreases or am i wrong there? If not reset all your "unwanted" Desynth to 1 with the 4 star Books from Alchemist. and Happy lvling.

    dragonedge as you level another skill it will delevel an already leveled desynth skill regardless of the 300 point cap, there is a work around by switching between your desynth skills and performing successful desynths ie
    bsm bsm bsm gsm wvr bsm
    this will lock your desynth skill for the space of 3 or desynths but this is not only costly but takes up valuable inventory, we really should not have to do this, imagine leveling warrior and watching your white mage delevel..
