Any easy solution that doesn't go too far is a practice dummy game in the gold saucer. Timer and/or set amount of HP. It doesn't account for battle mechanics, but would let you measure your own dps easily.

I doubt anybody will demand dps from the party finder. I do not remember anybody demand that in wow once I played it while ago and there was legal dps meter. It have always been gear ilvl that what ppl depend at the begin with it. Or something how you can proof that you have already killed the content. Like in Shiva that diamond dust. In wow it was "link achi". I have not been in any party finder group where dps is the problem(or maybe 1 or 2 times out from 100 times). It is usually something else that fail.
You just need to look at the "(insert content here) 1 shot only no scrubs, 1 wipe = kick and blacklist" and you would know that it will happen.I doubt anybody will demand dps from the party finder. I wouldnt even bother to join those 1 fail = kick partyfinders as it only shows that people think they are perfect. Seriously THE DERP IS WITHIN US! Had a full premade group in derp 7 (its no real coil anymore after nerf :P) just trying to get 1 fricking single sand for my alt ALL had kill xp (some only 2 kills before but oh well does it count?) partwise up to T13 and it took us 5 tries to down it because there the person with shriek got lagspike, here tank lost aggro for a sec, then venom sneaked in,.... I dont believe in 1 fail=kick as even with 8 carry xp ppl STUFF can happen be it irl distraction or anything.

But honestly, if a DD is doing less DPS than is required for certain encounter, their place is not in that encounter yet, but instead somewhere else, practicing doing their rotations while dealing with mechanics. If a DD does under 200 DPS, they should not be in a Second Coil or Final Coil group. Pointing this out to someone is not bullying or elitism (as long as it's done in a polite manner).
The problem is many of the fights in this game require every single DD to do certain amount of DPS. If even one DD is significantly underperforming, the group will fail, even when all other DDs were doing things perfectly right. Without a parser that shows DPS of all party members, there is no way of knowing who is not up to the task.
Since my opinion is toxicI will just point out that your sentence was actually being very contradictory, you are saying that putting people down is not the answer but you will likely drop and reject someone in order to win.
On a side not, why is it toxic to work on yourself and improve your skills when it's needed? The game is asking it for end-game, it's mandatory... So why it would be toxic to work on your dps/skill with the help of a parser in order to clear the hardest contents?
My opinion may be toxic, even though I stayed very polite... I'm sorry but I'm myself not a partisan of the "being a looser is the way to go", when I do mistakes or if something is wrong with my dps then I just work on it for the good of my team.
If you guys really believe that adding official parsers would raise the amount of jerks in this game then something is terribly wrong with your faith in humanity :/
You are basically mixing the competitive and needed spirit for raids point of view + jerks people and self improvement then tossing it in the same basket
Not surprising there is so many clear sellers around if a majority is thinking in a cheap way :x
Oh you dont need to be good to clear stuff. I met a dragoon raidlead of a friend T12 static to say it short: ate every circle blade in T7 every single AOE in shiva EX.
Skill seems to be barely needed (thinking also bout healers going: "why should we stoneskin/adlo tank for ravens we are OP?" in turn 9 and getting their T9 kill before me). All you need is determination and people with the same level of that. Sure DPS output is also needed but question is to which prize? Is it worth taking unneeded damage and stress healers? My judgement if someone is good or not goes beyond pure DPS. Dodging and thinking ahead are an important point for me and I didnt make it past turn 9 yet ^^

No one said that opinion is toxic, we actually agreed with you that personal dps feedback is fine.
The toxicity comes from people being rude and developing god complex's when they know they are doing the most dps. (Not all, just some) It often causes segregation and upset to those who are targeted. This is not what playing social games is about.
Being a good dps is not a life skill, it should not be expected but be appreciated if it happens.
The best way to deal with it is not know other peoples dps at all.
