Yes, basically. Also, it appears SE wants us to carry these people, I guess. The principal argument against dps meters is "harassment", with these people saying that "elitists" are "all jerks" and they are "just trying to play the game". Well, I see just as much harassment coming from those "casuals" as I do from the "elitists", so I'm not sure why they think they are on some kind of moral high ground just because they're bad at the game (it's ok to be a jerk when you play poorly, but not ok to be a jerk if you play better? idk).

I disagree that dps meters will instantly mean everyone is like "500 dps or gtfo". But like, when you see people doing sub 150 dps in Shiva EX and they aren't a tank or a healer (who actually can probably do more dps than this lol), you have to think, this person isn't helping us clear this at all. Or they're a full dreadwyrm MNK and doing 100 dps less than an iLVL 110 SMN. Like, what? Thanks person who carried this guy and/or sold them wins!

You wouldn't even know someone was doing incredibly sub par dps without something to tell you so. You'd just assume ALL the dps in the run sucked and just disband, rather than politely replace the one person who is under performing and get in someone who can perform their role at least adequately. I don't think most people are looking for superstars in everything. They just, you know, want at least a CHANCE at winning.

That said, people who are low dps are also usually the people who consistently fail mechanics, so maybe just kick that guy.
