Square Enix shop help :)

Hi there.
My friend is going to have her birthday soon and there are one or two items on the cash shop I wish to purchase for a gift. However, Square Enix will not allow me to use my card to send purchase the items via the shop to use her address as a delivery option. Is there anything I can do to buy the items and have them sent to her via the square enix site without first having them delivered to my address to then send them to hers via manual postal services in the UK? As the tax charges and weight of the items will also incur higher and very expensive costs to do so.

Is there no "Shipping address is different than billing" checkbox? I see it when it asks to create a New Account, so if it doesn't show up at the checkout, maybe you can change it in your account settings? Sorry, I'm not willing to open a new account to check.

I don't see how a different shipping and billing address would have anything to do with this situation. That question is asked when creating an account in case you buy something for your account using a different physical address. The person is asking to buy an in-game item for someone else's account. The "mailing address" that would entail would be the in-game delivery box for the in-game items you purchase since its not a physical thing.

Unfortunately I didn't see an option to gift anything to someone's character anywhere in the payment option. Therefore, I don't see how you could do that since you don't have (and shouldn't have) that persons log information to log in and make the purchase under their account. So anything short of having them buy the item and you reimbursing them I am not sure there is anything you can do.

Could be wrong though. In any event, it should be an option imo to buy something and have it delivered to someone else's in game d-box (though I can understand some reasons why it isn't).

For some extremely stupid reason, SE doesn't believe in gifting friends items. I wanted to buy a few things for a couple friends as xmas gifts, but couldn't because of the lack of this option. I have yet to understand why they lack it. Even Aeria games has a gifting option, and their everything sucks.

They just don't have it programmed in their site I am sure they wouldn't say no to more sales.

They have effectively been refusing sales thus far, I was gonna buy the minions for 4 different people this xmas, they ended up with steam games instead though, cuz the only options are give my cc info to people, or get their account info, both being not very favorable

Well, if you live near them there's the third option of having them log into the Mog Station and buying it from there. You never see their account info and they never see your CC info. Unless the Mog Station shows more CC info than I remember, anyway. . .

But, yeah, still far from optimal.

I mean to pay for something via the square enix store shop and have it delivered to a friend's address, these items would include ingame items, but not something I would rather have the item delivered to my address to then give them via messages. I mean the whole item itself. As others have stated, it would be nice to be able to gift ingame/non-game items to friends. But yeah, they have personally gone out of their way to not allow this option whether because they do not want to have certain items that are not on all store sides or otherwise, the message on the checkout store when two addresses are in different countries, is that it is not possible as they do not ship to international countries outside of the stores.
