Preliminary Patch Note Speculation

-New main hand tool, obtained by making x amount of y item.
The rocks and logs used to get miner/botanist supras can now be HQ, and there is one single new fish in the game. These are very likely used to get new DoL main hands, and SE has so far matched DoL and DoH main hands, and there is mention of Talan selling more crap.

-Something new from the top tier ixali quests
They mentioned additional rewards from the 7 quests, guessing it will be crystals or soldiery/poetics.

-Desynth max level 110, combined 350, other skills won't go down unless you are at 350 combined

I'm glad they fixed Desynth. I also really like that New Recipes *won't* require yet another Master Recipe Book (Thank You!). It just felt like we were being strung along (trickling in a couple recipes here or there after massive grinding / RNG turn-ins in the last patch).

New recipes have been added to master recipe books.
Players can acquire master recipe books from the NPC Talan in Mor Dhona at Revenant's Toll (X:22 Y:6) after completing the quest "Just Tooling Around."
* In the event you have already acquired a master recipe book, your crafting log will be updated with the new recipes automatically.

They kept very tight lipped on new gear/ craftable items. My guess is the new DoH main will be a decent upgrade to help with 4 star crafting but wouldn't be a make or break for those of us that can hq 4 star now. It will help more ppl into 4 star given the number of over melds needed. Would have liked to know more like the 2.4 patch notes though there is enough there to put a good guess into items to up stock over the weekend for the patch. My Guess with the DoL main is it will be a mix of collecting hq items and some other turn in as they did with the i75 main in 2.3.

something new from ixali for crafting, akin to sealant but might cost more? *shutter* coupled with new mats from top tier nodes. Putting all my gil in getting gsm to 451 and pray that the rings comes and are craftable!

I speculate that whoever threw out the preliminary notes must have been really tired, rushed, or both. Typos here and there and the gear pictures are confusing me. Also, some text feels like a copy paste, like how they mention tomestones of philosophy under "Rewards" which is also under the PvP notes for Borderlands? Frontlines? It seems messy to me.

There are 3 other types of ixali knots listed on the lodestone, with no means of getting them.

Those knots are obsolete items from 1.0. You'll see the other beast tribes also have such items that re no longer obtainable.

I reckon the new Ixali quests will give a separate token of sorts...or more oaknots, lowering the gap between artisian's/forager's and normal AF gear.

Desynth being pushed to 110 means more desynthables, ST/iLvl 100 gear probably.
