    Ok I do totally agree crafting and the resources needed was excessive..
    Your going seriously to farm imo, the number of stages your removing is massive.

    Abolishment of Parts from Synthesis - Very Bad
    Revisions to Materials and Intermediary Materials - Good
    Removal of Secondary Skill Requirements - Helpful
    Removal of Crafting Facility and Treatise Requirements - Good in a way
    Simplified Color Customization - Best Part!

    The dye change alone would have been almost enough imo.
    This would have cut down the number of items possible my a huge amount (what like a 10-15% cut in the total items?)
    1 of each item + generic dyes
    Vs
    Dye for each material + variations on item


    But really removal of parts?
    That's not simplifying the crafting system, its turning it on its head, and making it just a thing you do as well like every other mmo.
    As much as I'm not even a fan of crafting, the system had its merits, I always figured would make parts, leave the final thing to other people.
    Now i'll just do it to repair my stuff. woo....

    Why not just make more use of the current components as you add new gear,
    Have those old low Level items or the low demand items as a part of the newer gear that will come in.
    (a R50 spear head + 3 R5 spear sharts + R20 Butt + Glue + bolts = sparkly new heavy lance)
