Atma Drop Rate Still Sucks

I thought that SE had fixed the atma drop rate, I have been trying to gather since they first came out and I have never even seen one. I am up to my third zenith weapon and I can't upgrade cause the atma's never drop. If there is a trick to getting them to drop I would love to know it other wise I am gonna just forget about ever upgrading the damn weapons and just use what I have.

Did you equip your Zenith weapon while farming atma? You need to have cleared a fate with your Zenith. Also there are several areas in Eorzea that will never drop any at all, have you been farming there the whole day? (especially those areas where players have mass-grinded on fates before like Coerthas, Costa, N.Thanalan etc). Otherwise, might have been just bad luck.

Yea can only be very baaaad luck or you didnt use ur zenith. As it took me 3 weeks prenerf for a full atma set now ppl complain at what? 6 hours? XD

I got 12 for my nin in about 7 hrs. Before the change it took me a good week off and on. But to have none drop at all either you have the wrong weapon on or somethings broke lol.

You're probably doing something horribly wrong OR you're just very, VERY unlucky... took me 3 hours worth of fate farming to get all 12. :/

Prenerf I got THREE the entire time with admittedly light farming. After the nerf I got the other nine in like 5 hours. Be SURE you are equipped with a Zenith when doing all FATEs except in Coerthas, Mor Dona, or N Than!

Stick to low level/one-boss FATEs that way you can knock them out <1min, FATEs adjacent to the cities are perfect for this
Avoid high level/mob FATEs, Outer La Noscea is the worst for this
Gauge what FATEs are worth travelling to vs having it expire or downed by someone else, Southern Thanalan is the worst for this
Make sure the right weapon is equipped and have your choco out throughout.

Use Party Finder in a zone, until yu have got (a few) atmas

It gets slightly easier once yu are doing your first Atma book because it will require yu to revisit these zones and yu can down a FATE on the way to your book kill, make sure your zenith wep is equipped, not atma wep

In about 5 hours I got half my entire classes kitted in i115 weapons from shiva Ex. I can not, at all, understand why anyone is bothering with relic weapons.

Your i125 relic weapon is going to be level synced to 110 or less for 95% of the content you do... I just lol at relic.

But it isn't level synched as of now for level 50+ duties...

You are right, however, that it is not needed for any content. It IS, however, nice to have.

Why I bother with relic? STATS! Eg: except allagan/high allagan/ramuh/dreadwyrm sch book no other wep has crit and that is all you want as sch also i have accuracy in my war relic because i often needed it (well new ironworks gear overflows with accuracy but will need that for my final coils). Relic is just your personal stat preferrance from novus on thats why ppl do it ^^
