Error 1014 - World data could not be obtained

Looks like we're starting a repeat of yesterday's server failure, only more widespread. Like yesterday, I got booted without warning, and upon trying to reconnect, the game closed out completely. I can log in to the launcher, but initially, I couldn't even connect to my data center (Primal), although I can connect to Aether (for all the good it does me). I was getting error 5006 (lobby server connection error).

However, now I am able to connect to Primal, but not my world (Diabolos). When I try to select a character, the character doesn't show up, and when I try to log in with the character anyway, I get error 1014.

Today's been a crappy day for me, and is only getting worse. Too bad my main escape has to follow suit.

North American/European Data Center Several Worlds Technical Difficulties (Jan. 14)
We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with the North American/European data center wherein players are unable to log into several Worlds on FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Additionally, we are also experiencing technical difficulties with several North American/European Data Center Worlds wherein players are disconnected from certain instances and unable to log back in.

The issue is being investigated and addressed, and new updates will follow as additional information becomes available.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Well at least they're aware of it. Got kicked out of my Roulette and then "World Data could not be obtained" -__-

You are aware this is the second failure in as many days. They're probably doing emergency maintenance to make sure the problems don't keep happening at this ridiculous frequency. Be patient.

It's a game, ones and zeros. Let's all go associate with a real life person....maybe even a person of the opposite sex and see what happens! Who knows we all may like real live people!

I've never known of a PROPER maintenance to take less than 3 hours. Calm down, go grab a drink, and wait.
