Why doesn't the servers have a batter back up etc til a save and shut down can be preformed
What? I'm sure they do have battery backups, but that only helps if the problem is the power being cut.
If it's a network error or DDoS attack or any of a number of other things, that would do absolutely nothing.
Anyway, 90k'ed from Sargatanas while I was at dinner, can't reconnect.
also Sargatanas and I get pissed. second day at same time? And why just NA/EU data server? >.>
The servers are in montreal; right now they are having an ice storm or something.
scratch that, weather is clear but there are power outages apparently.

No issue's on Mateus ATM. this is a US server also.
Will keep you all updated if we go down also.
last night it happened 5 mins earlier before the 90k I turned on a fc buff that for 24 hours .. 5 mins kicked.. come back and it not activated and i lost seals from my last two fates

North American/European Data Center Several Worlds Technical Difficulties (Jan. 14)
We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with the North American/European data center wherein players are unable to log into several Worlds on FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Additionally, we are also experiencing technical difficulties with several North American/European Data Center Worlds wherein players are disconnected from certain instances and unable to log back in.
The issue is being investigated and addressed, and new updates will follow as additional information becomes available.

A lot of different servers here but they only mention Cactuar Faerie Sarg and Diabolos in the Notice.
And this is how I waste Post #1000 lol
I can connect to server but it says "cannot locate world data" shows my character name but no visual of him with his gear on
That's exactly what happens to me, with error #1014 when I select to log in
