Expansion on PS3

Hello, I'm new sorta to this game,I play on the PS3, I've been playing for about a month now. I really really like this game and should I bother getting the expansion when it's out for PS3?

unless you plan on upgrading to PS4 soon which you will have to eventually you can get it.

In all honesty I think you would have much better time upgrading to PS4. Heavensward is coming to PS3, but I believe Yoshida said somewhere that future expansions may not make it to PS3. On topic though, if new jobs, new story, new areas and new enemies sound fun to you then yes. By all means go for it.

The expansion will be released on the PS3 yes, but I would recommend considering a console upgrade if you want to get really into the game. The ps4 version is simply a stunning upgrade over the ps3 version. Since the expansion will be on the ps3 you do have plenty of time to save up for one at least.

Yeah in the short term you'll be alright. IIRC there is an upgrade campaign that was extended to sometime in March. Free upgrade to the ps4 version. Might effect your decision so just letting you know.

The ps3 just has a limit that prevent it from running good and steady at later expansions. Hell, even the standard version of FFXIV as it is is already stressing the Ps3 to its limit. Upgrade to the ps4 in the future if you are financially able, it is just a better console all together.

For some of the later trials (Titan and T5 in particular) there are many reports of slow rendering on the ps3 making the fights significantly tougher. So it can/does effect gameplay in certain scenarios.
