Do you think BLMs will be altered in the near future?

I'm not saying I want this, I'm just wondering. If the new spells/abilities don't change up our formula, our class would get quite boring rather swiftly.

Also not saying we need to be changed. It just would be cool to see us do something other than Fire > Blizzard > Thunder > repeat. (not literal).

Don't think any of the classes will be changed fundamentally. they are mostly balanced right now and with 3 new jobs coming and +10 levels for the old ones it's hard enough to keep that balance. not the best time to alter anything.

That was a proposal from a fan/dev? that Yoshi-P didn't seem very keen on. It was not official as far as future development of the class.

I can imagine with time when other jobs are buffed, in order to keep BLM in line without too much change they might introduce sun/moon ice/fire etc debuffs much like naels from t9. Whcih may then force BLMs to adopt SS in order to keep the debuff up. I dunno its just my own speculation.

WoW Moonkins probably. They have this thing where they change gradually over 45 seconds or whatever between sun and moon phases and have spells that work differently depending on the phase. Or something close to that, anyway. Never played Druid post vanilla.

Astral and Umbral, those words loosely apply to sun and moon.
