This game isn't meant to be a chore for people, where people need to watch others do each fight before they can. What was fun for me with the Dark Tower & new dungeons coming out with 2.5 was nobody expected each other to have the fight memorized already. New players should still get to enjoy the thrill of experiencing something for the first time. If you're a good enough player, you'll be able to compensate for others being new due to your experience. If you need everyone else to be an expert to get through what you've already played in order to win, you're playing a pretty weak character. Those who give up after one wipe & quit are much worse than those who go in blind imo. This right here, I cba to sit and learn the people every fight for an entire hour, if there are SO many videos out there, i don't mind people that need to get used to the mechanics as they already watched a video. But someone going in blind i will just not like what so ever.
Amazing. Play better and you'll be picked up in a static. Then you won't need to worry about duty finder.I just cant understand why you would expect 7 random people who already know how to do their role in a fight to take the time to watch you eat dirt and learn a fight. It seems like someone who does that is hoping for a carry, whether they admit it to themselves or not. I think PF is for specific things like learning groups not DF. Because really it seems like you are begging for a handout. My two sense.
Should have kicked him.One time was in T9 vi DF........... Yes i thought I'd let that sink in and of course no one was expecting to clear really but after a few wipes and about 7 meteors the other tank decided he had enough and started the vote abandon. Well me the whm i came in with and every one else decided we wanted to keep going.
SO he said vote kick me we wer like no you qued T9 in DF what you expect we wanted to keep trying so after next wipe and the next and the next...next........he kept trying to vote abandon but we still wanted to keep going so i pulled boss he kept trying to pull off me to wipe us i think he did this by the second next and kept getting us killed.
All because he didn't want to take a 30 minute lock out penalty wasted our time and his cuz by the time i got so fed up with this guy over 30 minutes has gone by since his first vote abandon.
long story short baby got his BA BA.

Yeah.... they expect everyone to watch a video just because its more convenient for them.... i suggest reporting that fool, firstly abusive language and abusing vote-kick.So I try "Titan EX" for the first time... I was a tank. I got hit by an attack and fell to my death. Then the main tank immediately started to insult me and asked me to leave. I did a "ready check" but the main tank refused to click ready and continued to insult me instead. He didn't want to try even a second time, claiming that it was a waste of time because I sucked too much, etc... Then they vote-kicked me. This is depressing.
I mean, it was a mistake. I am not used to all Titan's attacks. But at least I am expecting the party to want to try a few times before giving up. Also I would be better each time. The guy just insulted me instead.
So you won't read a guide but you expect others to type into party chat a guide for you to read? This is the problem right here. People expect that you'll be looking at guides or videos outside of the game before even doing the fight. I don't know how this became the norm, but this is nothing but horrible thinking. No gameplay, nor the people playing it, should not require looking up videos/guides to experience it. I've never done this, and I never will.
ok......
So I get into df for my light farming and get into An Ifrit HM, we wipe at hellfire since dps died from running in front of ifrit, but we didn't really. There were two nails I used PoM and killed one hit medica 2 regen on me and healer and tank then swift cast stoneskin during the animation, and I lived with LB3. Every new person was picking on each other and told me to just die. I said no LB3 and get everyone else up. I start calling out the moves and people are still getting killed. I end up being the. Last one standing and ifrit cant kill me as long as I have mp. I said I will show you the mechanics so just watch the plumes and what not. EVERY PERSON started to chew me out for not just wiping. I said no, if you keep dying to the same things, then I will show you how it works. They kicked me. Do its not a new thing its a people thing.
So far i have not recieved any abuse for being new. The people on famfrit so far are a cool bunch. Almost everytime I enter a new main scenario dungeon there are them one or 2 people who have done it before and they are helpful and guide new players like me along the way. In terms of dieing i have only ever really died when the tank or the healer dies, then im next shortly after. I did die twice against titan, but the players were cool about it, we failed the first time but we pulled through the second only i died at the very end xD
Me personally, watching videos before going into a dungeon would spoil the fun and ruin that first time experience. I am sorry OP that you had a bad run through it happens to alot of us new players. Its all trail and error but some people just dont understand that.
I'm not sure why people insist df should be for learning. It's totally ineffective as groups wipe once, give up and people drop. People are queuing with different goals and to expect a group of random people from df to teach a fight, over asking in pf people to join and teach, is unreasonable. In pf you have more opportunities to use voip and people who join expecting to teach tend to be more patient.
OP, don't expect to learn anything from a df group. They are not obligated to teach you the fight. Have your free company help you and use pf to fill in the empty spots. Even if you don't clear you will get way more out of it than from df making a future clear more attainable.

This egalitarianism lasted all of one day. By day two, there were more than a couple "know it alls" that spent plenty of keystrokes on complaining about wiping on the first boss more than once.
