Abuse for being a new player, any solution?

hey OP that guy won't be the last one to do that kind of crap. happened to most of us as we were working our way through content.

however...

you didn't mention in your post if you did or didn't read a guide/watch a video before going in.

DF is a good place to practice fights and the playerbase now is experienced enough to be able to accommodate a few new players. however, if a player goes in 100% new without any information about the fight, it will be a much bigger time investment for the remaining 7 players. its situations like this that will make the bad apples really stick out.

new+informed= a player that everyone wants to be with because of soldierybonus
new+uninformed= might be better off leaving the duty and taking the 30min penalty to work on other things

One time was in T9 vi DF........... Yes i thought I'd let that sink in and of course no one was expecting to clear really but after a few wipes and about 7 meteors the other tank decided he had enough and started the vote abandon. Well me the whm i came in with and every one else decided we wanted to keep going.

SO he said vote kick me we wer like no you qued T9 in DF what you expect we wanted to keep trying so after next wipe and the next and the next...next........he kept trying to vote abandon but we still wanted to keep going so i pulled boss he kept trying to pull off me to wipe us i think he did this by the second next and kept getting us killed.

All because he didn't want to take a 30 minute lock out penalty wasted our time and his cuz by the time i got so fed up with this guy over 30 minutes has gone by since his first vote abandon.

Your group wouldn't let him leave. Why even bother if he's trying to get you guys killed? Just let him go like he wants to.
Just vote kick and re-que if 7 other people wanted to stay in there.
But I guess he shoulda just taken the penalty and withdraw by himself.

You can make a learning party in PF. I'm not saying someone has to, but that's another way you can learn the fight.

This is great advice, dont be shy! put up that pf, say you want help learning the fight, and that there is a sol tome bonus because you have never won. Youd be surprised how quick you can get players. Even if you dont have luck every time you are at least trying and not being insulted in the df.

Using DF for any fight is traininng grounds. How else can you learn the fight?

Fun fact: In Japan, it's actually expected you know what you're getting into when you use the Duty Finder; and it's expected you use Party Finder to seek people out to teach and learn.

Anyway, sorry about the harassment you experienced. Titan Extreme in Duty Finder though is never a good time. It's tricky to clear if a DPS goes out for most groups; it's near-impossible for random groups of players to clear it if a tank or healer goes. As a result, a lot of players have very little patience for the fight (especially having been stuck on it for months due to how punishing it can be).

Just speaking from experience, learning parties through the PF have typically been smooth, you can adjust everybody to the one strat and keep going with familiars should the time run out. They still exist as I've progressed my alt through the EX chain in learning parties last week. Many people in DF usually take this "everybody sucks but me" mindset and seem to have difficulty adjusting to anything out of their comfort zone/favorite youtube video, and aren't interested in compensating for any mistakes, let alone take on anybody new.

DF parties for primals on JP servers consists of tries worth 15 minutes, if you cannot get the primal down in 15 minutes there is a vote abandon. That imo is a lot better than doing what this tank had done, everyone gets hit by Titan on their first go.

How come NA servers do not follow this 15 minute rule?

I got to say the more I hear about Japanese server rules, the more baffled I am. They sound terrible. Quit if things hit x timer... never use DF if you are not experience, force the use of the PF for new players... honestly... it sounds terrible (and cant even believe it is true.)

I play on a JP server, but this is a very peaceful method in my opinion. Rarely is the new player bullied. If he cause a wipe, experienced players will generally give a few pointers without bad mouthing him. 95% of the time, no one gets insulted or badmouthed. If its to the point where it's not possible to clear, someone will initiate the Give Up feature after 15 minutes. Not sure whats so terrible about this.

I notice a lot of times the new players have this mentality of being the victim and world is against me, and a sense of entitlement for some reason. Its just culture on JP servers that Duty Finder is usually for quick kills.

Most people in JP server join a DF expecting to get a kill. If one or two people is the reason the other 6 or 7 people cannot get their kill, what is wrong with pushing the give up button after 15 minutes? How is this bullying. We give the new person pointers. We try to help clear. But it is too bad to the point that we can't. Is the new person entitled to waste everyones time just because he is new? At least the JP servers will generally be friendly and help out all they can in that 15 minutes before the give up vote.

Yes, there are the minority asses that badmouth, but that happens everywhere and is more a reflection of that specific person and not a group of people.

Trials/Coils usually appear on the DF after they become steamrollable content. Before that they are usually pre-formed party only.

I'm sorry about your experience with getting bullied, but I don't know why you would feel voting to Give up after 15 minutes is bullying or terrible.
