Kicked for not giving my gil...

So after 8 months of being with an fc I was kicked because I didn't give them my gil.

What's the point of giving gil? I mean, I'm all for helping anyone out if I am able... but ultimately, if the fc leader chooses to take everything you have absolutely no recourse & no way of getting any return.

The fc leader can sell everything, including the house, land, any furnishings... they can then use all the funds to buy up high priced items on the marketboard, transfer everything to an alt, load up the retainers, then change servers & take everything with them. And there's nothing SE will do about it.

In my opinion this thread has absolutely no purpose if you don't say the name of FC. If you don't want to say the name of the FC or if it is against the forum rules, you shouldn't make this thread.

I just think that forum should be used for other purposes than 15 year old girl's diary when we will read that her boyfriend changed his race or that she was kicked from FC.

I've seen FCs that do that nonsense (donate or else!) and I bailed on them the moment I saw that noise. I don't mind guild events to raise money if they're voluntary (Team treasure hunts, Spiritbonding sessions, etc).

I tend to agree. I've led my fair share of shells and have nearly always been in some leadership capacity, and I've yet to see even the most controlling of ls leaders boot someone for not contributing gil. I have a feeling there's a lot more involved here than just that, especially if the OP donated the amount of items he claims. I'd be interested in this facebook page that was mentioned.

There's some other contradictory stuff in there as well, such as

but they are trying to cover it up with the rest of the fc by saying other things...

Ok, so it's actually some other things leadership didn't like but you don't agree that these other things exist\are valid.

Yeah, I'd bet you're right on that. Threads like this and many of the "I was vote kicked for no reason!" leave out the bits that make the poster look bad.

Watch out, the internet forum police is here. I don't mind players being warned that they should completely trust who is running an FC before contributing stuff that you will never get back.
