So any confirmation on Carbon Twine in 2.5 yet?

I see alot of people assume that there wont be anyway aside from FCoB to obtain Carbontwine other than from World of Darkness in 2.55.

Question has it been confirmed? Or is everyone going of of the progression of 2.3x contents?

If I am not mistaken the Sands were available via hunts from day one of 2.3. I dont know why we wouldnt have a method get carbontwines from 2.5 out of the gate.

Has there been any confirmation regarding this particular subject rather than assumptions?

I hope we have many ways of getting upgrade stuff, its silly to have to keep upgrading gear this way. I wanna go back to the Myth days were the set you purchased was DONE and didnt need upgrading. I know "CLEAR FCOB already its easy!!" lol right

I think it is confirmed that it will happen in 2.5. The devs stated during Tokyo Fanfest that they would look into making the loot lockout timers for upgrade items and armor separate from each other so everyone can get 1 piece of the WoD armor and 1 Ironworks upgrade item.

I can't find it now but I remember Yoshi P. specifically saying that carbontwine and carbon coat would drop from WoD and that they wouldn't be included in the weekly loot lockout(no word about them being guaranteed drop though)

I seriously hope not. I personally feel like having the highest ilvl of gear in game should be something you earn, not get from doing a faceroll 24 man dungeon or hunts.

I remember them saying that Ironwork's Upgrade mats will be in WoD and have a separate loot limit from WoD Gear.

Actually specifically with regards to that, they've mentioned there will be weapons available from the World of Darkness, but it's apparently going to function on a different system from that of the FCOB drops.

I want upgrade items to be in World of Darkness and I would be fine with obtaining them other ways (like Triple Triad or Golden Saucer etc) but I really, REALLY don't want them added to hunts. I like hunts the way they are. Having sands/oils purchaseable with allied seals was a big mistake. If you don't want hunts to be a bunch of screaming about people pulling early, wishing those who do cancer etc. don't have carbon twine connected with hunts!
