    Myth tomes in 2.4?

Stopped playing just before or early on during 2.2 (don't remember) and recently returned.

So I read the old official announcements and gathered that:
    • Myth tomes no longer obtainable.
    • Myth items now need Soldiery to buy.
    • Exiting Myth tomes will not be removed.
So...what do I do with the 1098 Myth tomes on me? Is there anything I can do with it? Or is it just going to sit there and wait for 3.0 to disappear into thin air?

I don't mind it disappearing, I'm just wondering, there must be some use to it if it's still stored there.

    Welcome back to Eorzea!

There is a npc at Revenant's Toll (I think it's the same one who you used for turning in myth tomes for items), who offers to exchange tomes of mythology for tomes of soldiery. It's not an exact exchange though, and your 1000+ myth tomes would probably would out to around a hundred soldier tomes. This was the same thing SE did when they phased out tomes of philosophy too (in those days, you exchanged philo tomes for myth tomes, so it's kinda came full circle now). In any event, you can exchange your old (and now useless) myth tomes for sol tomes.

Oh! Thank you very much! It wasn't mentioned in the announcement so it never occurred to me to look for that. Ah, I see. This function would have been introduced when Poetry went online, but then people would already have Soldiery and automatic conversion from Myth would cause some players to hit the 2000 Soldiery limit.

The conversion function must be in some other announcement then.

    Thanks!

It actually was mentioned in the 2.4 patch notes, found here.

The tome exchange npc is named Aurina, and she can be found in the tent where Rowena formerly was (now she has her own cushy building at the back of Revenant's Toll, but the other two npcs are still in the old place in the tent).

    Hopefully this has helped.

Ah, thanks for all the help! I never got to the 2.4 notes...it was just...too much to swallow.

It turns out I'm getting 275 Soldiery for my 1098 Myth. Not bad. Not bad at all. With the low-level roulettes I've been running, I've got enough for my first book for the Animus quest.
