I said it on another post but i'll say it here too, don't blame the crafting system for flaws in the selling system.

in the ideal world you wanna be able to buy mats, sleavs, fronts, backs etc easily and at a resonable price so you can do your simple crafts (this it already happening in most mmo's) and ppl who like to go the whole hog and do it all from scratch can, the only diffence between this and say XI is the fact you have to do an extra step if you want to make it from scratch, the max amount of ingredance per synth is the same. the issue is that the selling system is so bad that you can't buy the rady made parts to make gear easily. hence the complaints it's over complex.

that being said some parts are over complex but not many.. once you make a universal dye most of them dissaper (changing color in the final sage is needed rather then each piece as u make it is needed too), and some of the high lvl mats in the low lvl synths need to be adjusted.
