Simplification of recipes not cool.

When the finished item in question is something youll use for quite a while that doesnt seem tedious at all to me, oddly.
Perhaps you just dont care as much for the equipment you wear as others do~

Or maybe they level so fast it's not WORTH the time and effort. Ever think of that? The gear setup in this game is just ...weird imo. With this advent of new classes and using other abilities as another class and not having the typical sub job equipped while COOL, causes issues like this. I never KNOW what gear to get for the next level because there is SO much to choose from. That in one way is good the other it's bad. And there isn't much in the way of having your gear really last as long as it did in XI. The reason besides to many choices? Not enough space in between one rank to the other. Some jobs you can get new gear every few levels. In XI it was at first a 5 to 7 level difference therefore giving you more time to use your gear. The exceptions were Rare/Ex or just Rare drops. THOSE were the in between pieces and those had crazy stats and could last you a very long time. And also, because gear is not Rank restricted, if I find a piece of R50 gear I can buy it and equip it. Dumb dumb DUMB!

Maybe if they made those changes with the new "jobs" or WTH their doing coimng out and specifying what gear goes with whom, this won't be that big of a damn deal.

Edit: Not sure if any one else noticed but, ranking you DoW or DoM jobs really don't take that much time when compared to XI. I like it. It's just right. Now maybe the crafting side needs a tweak in this regard compared to the other occupations as I have read over and over again but this may also be used to answer your statement as to how long one appriciates their gear.
