Lazy Mage Gear

I'm starting to really tire of this trend where Casters have the same gear healers do just Pallet swapped.

They did it in Crystal Tower, they did it in Sycrus Tower, and now they are doing it in the World of Darkness.




A different color and different feather in the hat don't make it a different set. I'm getting really tired of looking like a corrupted healer or something. More originality please. I don't appreciate the devs basically using the dying system to be lazy.

Ain't no dev got time for that, gotta make more unique melee dps sets instead.

I agree, and it seems it's going to be that way for Monk and Ninja as well, look at the 2 images close, they're also the same but recolors.

Yeah, it would be nice if the two set LOOKED differant from each other, but its almost always done this way. Remember CT sets the White Mage and Black Mage set were just recolored. Come on SE!!

Mage gear has always been lazy or boring. The only two sets which looked good were the poetics & high allagan ones. At least for healer that is.

Well this, as a tank, I can understand. The issue is that they're not holding up to the classes.

Tank gets their own, Heavy DPS gets their own, Light DPS gets their own, Ranged DPS gets their own... Healer and Mage deserve, their OWN, EACH.

see the set has a unique look being something whitemages and scholars don't tend to be seen wearing, then black mages looksllike AF gear with a fuzzy hat o3o;
