An Easier way to report Gil Sellers/RMT!?

So yeah ummm I might sound a lil dumb cuz I figured this out and ppl PROBABLY already know about this....

So there is a way to report someone's profile on the lodestone. What I have been doing is going to my blacklist (yes you can view your blacklist) and reporting them that way. There is a lil knight looking guy on everyones profile that you can use to report. To get to your blacklist you just go to your friends feed and you should see a tab that says Blacklist. I kinda feel bad for blowing up the mods on the site but this is so much easier to report than in the game.

Am I wrong for reporting the gil sellers/rmt this way? Seems so much easier to me. :/

Although I can agree that this is much easier, this only reports their lodestone page for being offensive. the mods that handle the lodestone are completely different from those in-game, and reporting their lodestone will not ban them in-game.

There could be a in game report function. For example on tells there could be a right click report rmt. If 5 different people report the same person they are muted from sending more tells until a gm investigates them.

SE probably allows a healthy number of botters and gil sellers to function around. There are obvious botters roaming around the main cities' aetheryths and it doesn't take a genius or any complicated codes determine who they are.

Effect: Instant blacklist, instant report submission.

On SE's side: Report received, report is counted towards a threshold. Once threshold is reached, instant ticket created. IP address of reported player logged. GM gets ticket. Reviews chat lines. Decides yea/nay on action. Actions as appropriate. All details remain on permanent record.

Please, please add this function. Please.

There is a report cheating form they had asked us to use but at the risk of sounding daft, I'm not entirely certain I'm filling it out correctly. I cannot tell if any action has been taken on it or if was completely disregarded. Also, although it may not be exactly filing taxes, it does take too much time to do and most RMT go unreported because players cannot stop in the middle of what they're doing to write out the complaint. It makes the negative experience of being harassed by these messages even more so by making it cumbersome to police.

I know the devs commented in the past of not including such a feature to prevent people from goofing off and reporting their friends as a cruel joke. I wonder if you were able to file the complaint direct from the chat log if more precise information could be captured so that a staffer doesn't have to go on an excavation to try to prove the accusation was real or not and perhaps get swifter results.

This is why you include:

1. The threshold. 5-10 reports generates the ticket with a bunch of chat lines automatically attached.

2. Have GMs review those tickets -- a ten second glance over those chat lines is enough to see whether or not it's legit. If serious spam/harassment, penalize as needed. If it's just people trying to troll by reporting, trash it and move on.

Bam. Done. So easy.

The current system, requiring that you open several menus and type out a report each and every time you receive one of these whispers (which is REALLY DAMNED OFTEN, as you are all painfully aware) makes these situations even more infuriating.

The devs need to step it up. Help us help you, SE.
